After spending a few days riding in Verbier it was up and over the Grand St Bernard's pass and down into the Aosta Valley.

Spent the day up above Pila before the long descent back into the Valley

Went from having a lazy, unmotivated day in garden to a quick 20 mile bimble on the single speed

Legs felt fine after Saturday/Sunday's ride to the sun, still hardwork chasing the youngster up the hill, and even harder down. Sun seems to have gone for a bit

Nice after work Woburn ride yesterday. The trails could do with a bit of wet tbh, very sandy and loose in a lot of places!

One of those rides where everyone I met was happy (except one guy, but, whatever) because the sun was out and it was still very warm late into the evening

Probably swallowed 12 bugs, snorted another 5 and my arms now looks like I've been fighting with 15 kittens because everywhere was very very overgrown.

But, a most enjoyable 32km was had!  Long may it continue 😎

We have moved down the valley from Tignes to Bourg St Maurice and have spent the day up on the trails in Les Arcs. Only a couple of the lifts running so had to plan it so we had to do as little climbing as possible

Fitted a fresh new rear tyre in preparation for a Staunton, Dyfi, Antur and Coed-Y-Brenin trip later this week. And a dusty 2,500ft in 27 miles XC loop. Last tyre was new in at the start of May!

Second day exploring in Les Arcs. 3800 m of descent. Had a great day and only one off when the front wheel slipped on a root on Black 8.

Had to fit new pads front and rear when we got back to the van as they didn't have another day in them.

A simple local gravel lap. Didn't see a soul. But perfect weather made it really quite brilliant.

Still not working then...

Took my new bargain Langster out for a quick spin, I've got really unfit! Still managed to get up the steepest climb on my usual loop with the singlespeed though, used to crawl up it in the granny ring on my CAAD. Need some SPD pedals asap so I can get more power uphill, keep lifting my feet off! Even took it on some gravel, 23c slicks feel very sketchy but it was quite fun. Want to get some wider tyres on it but not sure how wide I can go on normal road rims which I assume are designed for 23c?

Got the "holiday" bike (and holiday shorts) out the Evoc and dusted off ready for duty later this year. Always interesting jumping back on a 27.5.

Riding the steep trails off the Kymin. We don't do this enough (maybe as climb to get back to the top is brutal!)

Used the good weather over the past few days for a quick dabble with the Traws Eyri route from Machynlleth to (supposedly) Conwy. Mixed views on the quality of the riding and the route (it's not really an off-road route, and taking a mountain bike wouldn't be my recommendation), but it doesn't half go through some beautiful scenery.

Very much enjoying having a bike I can go for a quick spin on in the evening without having to slog away on the MTB! The state of some of our roads is making me wish I'd got a gravel bike though.

Took my son to Leamington today for his first taste of "proper" trails, he went down everything in the skills area with only one little off! He's now asking if we can go every weekend, fine by me 🙂 now need to get him a new bike with better brakes as his is definitely not fit for purpose. bonus is I now have my own videographer so here's a crappy video still of me trying and failing miserably at getting some steeze in my jumping. I'm now able to clear the lot in the skills area though so good to see some improvement!

Made it from Insh over to Glen Feshie, then up the land-rover track to Carn Ban Mor, but had to cut the day short due to knee trouble. Returned via the walkers path down to Achlean.
